To validate these tests, we assess the quality of our soles in the field, in the mountains, by a panel of representative testers over 500 km\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eWaterproofing test\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn a laboratory, the boot is immersed in water to mid-height on a mechanical arm that flexes to simulates a number of steps. With this test we can determine a time and number of km that the boot can walk while staying dry.\n   Then we confirm in the field or under the rain, that the shoe meets its promises.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eMaking waterproofing last longer\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eWe advise you to waterproof your shoes twice a year using a waterproofing agent (search for “waterproofing agent” on our website) which will restore the original water repellency and combat external stains.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eHow to avoid blisters?\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eBlisters generally develop when the skin is weakened by friction.
